Specialized spherical candy packing machine with vibratory bowl feeding and optical sorting. 200–1,200 packs/min for ball lollipops, milk candy balls, chewing gum. CE certified

Spherical products — candy balls, milk candy spheres, ball lollipops, coated chewing gum — are the hardest shape to package at speed. They roll. They shift. They refuse to stay aligned on flat conveyor belts. Most manufacturers either slow down their lines to accommodate round products or accept high rejection rates and frequent jams.
The Junyao JY-ZB1200 takes a fundamentally different approach. Instead of trying to force round products through linear belt feeders, it uses an electromagnetic vibratory bowl to orient and singulate each piece. Products loaded in bulk into the bowl travel upward on spiral tracks, emerging in single file at the top — oriented, spaced, and ready for wrapping.
The feature that sets this machine apart: Between the vibratory bowl and the wrapping station, every product passes through a multi-angle optical inspection system. Cameras evaluate each piece for size, shape, color, and surface defects. Non-conforming products are diverted by a high-speed air jet — before they reach the wrapping station, not after. This means only perfect products make it into your packages, eliminating the quality complaints and brand damage that defective items cause when they reach consumers.
1. Vibratory bowl feeding — the right solution for round products. Electromagnetic vibration drives products up spiral tracks with geometry designed for your specific product diameter. Adjustable amplitude and frequency for different product weights and surface characteristics. Constructed from polished 304 stainless steel.
2. Optical inspection and auto-reject. Multi-angle camera evaluation at full production speed. Detects dimensional non-conformance, color variation, surface cracks and chips, coating voids, and shape irregularities. Air-jet reject with sub-millisecond timing accuracy. Rejection statistics logged for quality trending.
3. 3-servo high-speed wrapping platform. Independent servos for film feed, longitudinal seal, and transverse seal/cut. Rotary jaw design minimizes vibration and inertial forces at speeds up to 1,200 cycles per minute. Film tension compensation adjusts for minor product diameter variations.
4. Spherical product orienting track. Precision-machined guide channels with radii matched to your product diameter. Anti-static, micro-textured surface. Modular track sections configurable for single-lane (larger products, up to 35 mm) or dual-lane (smaller products, below 18 mm).
5. Motion-predictive film registration. Because spherical products create brief gaps in the product stream, the film registration system uses predictive timing rather than gating on product presence — preventing the registration errors that occur on less sophisticated controls.

The vibratory bowl — the machine's most specialized component — is fabricated from 304 stainless steel plate using laser cutting and CNC forming, then electropolished to a mirror finish. Bowl track geometry is verified on a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The optical inspection system is calibrated with certified reference artifacts before shipment. A complete quality dossier including calibration certificates accompanies each machine.

Q: How is the optical system calibrated for a new product?
Using the teach-in function: load 50–100 conforming products, run in calibration mode, and the software calculates acceptable tolerance bands based on the sample's statistical distribution. Review and adjust on the HMI, then save as a named product recipe. Process takes 15–20 minutes per product.
Q: Can the machine run non-spherical products?
Yes. The vibratory bowl and orienting track can be bypassed. A standard linear infeed conveyor is fitted in approximately one hour. The 3-servo wrapping platform operates identically for all product shapes.
Q: What's the maintenance requirement for the vibratory bowl?
Daily visual inspection and wipe-down with isopropyl alcohol. The electromagnetic drive is sealed and requires no lubrication. Vibration calibration verification takes 5 minutes quarterly via the HMI diagnostic routine. Bowl suspension springs have an 8,000-hour service life.
