1.5-Servo Independent Control.The defining feature of the JY-ZB650 is its five-axis servo architecture. Each of the five critical motions — cutter rotation, film feed, product infeed, sealing jaw opening, and discharge belt — is driven by its own servo motor and controlled independently by the PLC. This independence allows each axis to be optimized for its specific mechanical task.
2.Integrated Cutting and Pillow Wrapping.By placing the cutting station immediately upstream of the flow wrapper, the JY-ZB650 eliminates the intermediate transfer conveyors and handling steps that often cause product damage in soft candy operations.This integration reduces giveaway from miscut pieces, reduces labor, and improves the overall hygiene of the production area by minimizing open transfers.
3.Auto Film Splicing for Continuous Running.Film roll changes are one of the most common causes of downtime in high-speed wrapping lines. The JY-ZB650 is equipped with an automatic film splicing system that joins the end of the running film to the start of a new roll while the machine continues to operate. A reserve roll is mounted on a dual unwind stand, and sensors detect when the active roll is approaching its end.
4.Precision Temperature Control and Anti-Stick Surfaces.The JY-ZB650 cutter blade is fitted with a temperature-controlled heater that keeps the blade edge at a set point suited to the candy formulation.The sealing jaws are independently heated by PID controllers with fast-response thermocouples, and the sealing surfaces are coated with a food-grade anti-stick material that prevents caramelized residue from building up. Jaw pressure is set pneumatically and can be adjusted for different film thicknesses and product densities.
5.Recipe-Driven Operation and Remote Support.The PLC stores recipes for each soft candy size and formulation, including cutter speed, cutter temperature, film length, sealing temperature, jaw pressure, and servo gear ratios. Operators can recall a complete recipe from the HMI in seconds, which is essential when switching between gummy worms, fruit slices, toffees, and other SKUs. Production data such as speed, pack count, and alarm history are logged internally and can be exported via USB. For international customers, an optional remote diagnostics module allows Junyao engineers to access the PLC and servo status over a secure connection, reducing response time and travel costs for troubleshooting.
Applications
Gummy and Jelly Candies:Gummy bears, worms, and fruit-shaped jellies are well suited to the JY-ZB650 because the integrated cutter can portion the extruded rope cleanly before wrapping. The anti-stick cutter coating and controlled temperature prevent the elastic candy from adhering to the blade or deforming during transfer.
Toffees and Caramels:Toffees and soft caramels require higher cutting force and precise temperature control. The JY-ZB650 can be configured with a heated guillotine cutter and a slower sealing cycle to accommodate these denser, stickier products without tearing the film or leaving a stringy seal.
Fruit Flavored Soft Candy:Soft fruit candies with sugar coatings or acid sanding can be handled by adding a short cooling section before the cutter and using a film with anti-static properties. The servo control ensures consistent spacing even when pieces vary slightly in size or shape.
Custom Confectionery Shapes:Seasonal and promotional candies often come in custom shapes. The JY-ZB650 can accept different cutter profiles and forming collars to match the geometry of the product, making it a flexible platform for new product development.
